"So once upon a time, there was this little girl, who didn't care who was watching or what anyone thought, who couldn't tell the difference between white skin and black skin, between character and ingenue, who danced and sang and shined with no shame. And somewhere along the line, I guess, of labelling and categorizing and judging people, she got lost and began to use her gifts as a means of proving herself as opposed to expressing herself.
